regular maintenance is the best option
In Ireland, hedges have a tendency to quickly become overgrown and difficult to manage.
To prevent this, regular hedge trimming is essential. Maintaining your hedge in good order will not only enhance the beauty of your garden, but also create the illusion of a larger space.
Neglecting to trim your hedge will result in an untidy appearance and a smaller-looking garden. Without regular pruning, hedges can grow tall and irregularly, obstructing light and casting shadows over your garden. Fast-growing species such as Leylandii require frequent trimming, usually once or twice a year, in order to maintain a dense, compact and attractive appearance.

we provide pruning schedules
To maintain a good form and regular habit, hedges should be formatively pruned in the first few years after planting, followed by maintenance trimming between spring and summer.
The best time for hedge management depends on the species and type of work needed. Our company provides annual pruning schedules to keep your hedges well-maintained and hassle-free.
However, flowering seasons and nesting species may affect the schedule. For example, Fuchsia, roses, and lavender should be pruned in early to mid-spring, while forsythia, deutzia, and berbers should be pruned after blooming. If nesting species are suspected, a site-visit is necessary to assess whether trimming can be done without disturbing the birds, which usually nest between February and August.
